First step, we used "nine" 4x4in, 16ft high wood posts, we dug them into the ground 2 feet then laid cement to hold them up.
Second step, we used (I) hooks at the very top of the posts to secure the rope that holds the net.
Third step, we strung up the rope through the eye hooks and tied a knot to secure the rope. Fourth step, we unrolled the netting on the roof, stapled the netting to the roof, then we started to drape the netting over the top of the ropes to the back of the fence line with a ladder and a long pole, then stapled it where it needed to be secure.
Most all materials besides the netting was purchased at "The Home Depot".
This project takes at least 2 people.
Disclaimer: This is NOT a structure to leave any birds out in unsupervised, also smaller sized squares for smaller birds is available, we used 2.4inch square size which is to large for smaller birds, example, conure size and below.
Note: Mocking Birds and Blue jays can get into this aviary through the netting square holes.
