Raw Chop recipe

How we make our chop:

*Raw Veggies, all veggies are chopped in a Food processors

  • Kale
  • Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Peppers (chop by hand)
  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage
  • Okra
  • Watercress
  • Radish
  • Collard greens

Baked/Steamed Ingredients:

  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Carrots
  • Green Beans
  • All potatoes
  • All pasta
  • Jasmin Rice
  • Barley
  • Quinoa
  • Edamame
  • Acorn Squash (Baked)
  • Butternut Squash
  • Spaghetti squash

Dry ingredients:

*These ingredients help the chop from being too moist

  • Oatmeal
  • Coconut shavings
  • Add a little bit of uncooked pasta noodles

Fruit:

  • Blueberries
  • Apples no seeds
  • Dried Mango
  • Raisins

*We recommend these fruits because they help the chop from not being overly moist.

Note: Only keep it to one or two fruits in your chop and not a lot. Fruit contains a lot of sugar, plus the veggies have natural sugar as well, you really want to make sure you are not over doing to much sugars.

Parrots Safe Teas you can add to your chop or water:

  • Chamomile tea (naturally caffeine-free).
  • Rooibos tea (naturally caffeine-free)

TIPS: Mix the chop in with some some scrambled eggs, meaning, when you go to scramble the eggs, close to the end, add in your chop, this will help the chop stick to the eggs, when your fid goes to eat the eggs the greens and many other ingredient's of the chop will also be going into your fids system.

TIPS: Heat up a Sweet Potato, mash it up and add your chop into the sweet potato, again this will also help with them ingesting the chop because it is mixed in with the sweet potato. (cool to room temp, DO NOT feed hot foods this can stimulate hormones)

*Eventually you will be able to phase this out and give the raw chop plain from time to time.

Pellet Muffin intro

Intro

Pellets are a great conjunction in addition to feeding the raw chop, combining your pellets into a muffin mix will also help convert your fid from an all-seed diet to a pellet diet, that being said this will also help give your fid a variety of food choices.

Note: No-one wants to eat the same foods over and over again, change it up for your fid give them a surprise sometimes. They will love it!
